this is, quite simply, the truth

stasis:

hi blog. sorry i missed you most of last week- it was so exciting and stressful and busy. the quick version is: we flew to san diego (by way of a long lay-over in dallas) where we stayed for two days- the first day was arriving, checking in, checking out the city, and the second day was my musical theatre MFA audition @ SDSU, an authentic mexican dinner, seeing their (SDSU's) performance of "birds of paradise" and then kicking around the city one last night- then saturday we got up early, checked out, *stopped for jack in the box* (hooray), returned the car and got to the airport by 10 and didn't leave an airport or airplane again until we were home in philly around 11pm. so a lost day of travel. then yesterday i had annie rehearsal all day, and in the evening rory surprised me with anniversary dinner, an incredible card & beautiful lotion from l'occitane, which we followed up with lots and lots of homework. because we're back in the swing. today i got up at 9:30, cleaned up the dishes from dinner, blogged and now i'm going to make breakfast, work out, read some v&f homework ("playboy of the western world", "ghosts sonata" & "spring's awakening") and finish my work on my shakespearean monologue for its performance(s) this afternoon (henry IV- lady percy). then class @ 4:30 so I have to leave early because i need to drop things off in the mail on the way, and i have to first get stamps. after class, jessica and i are studying for our vision & form exams this week, since hers is tomorrow morning. mine's friday mid-day. like ya do. (i just pray he isn't grumpy for the last person... especially since i haven't been in class the last two weeks because of the snow & our trip) ah well. i found out, though, that next week is spring break. so i feel a little better about life... though it feels like its moving at a snail's pace with all of these mountains of due dates and work to do-- it is actually moving forward. imagine that.

song of the day:

"grow old with me" john lennon

daily zen:

*jessica, this reminded me of our conversation yesterday.

"He who knows others is wise.
He who knows himself is enlightened."
- Tao Te Ching.
