stasis:
be impressed. two days in a row & its the week leading into tech. i am having feelings (very very tiny ones) of being on top of things again. we'll see. i woke up this morning when my alarm went off at 7:30 but my body rejected it. of course i couldn't sleep sunday night when i had all of monday to sleep in, and now today i feel well enough to sleep in but there's not time to sleep. eesh. i eventually got up around 8:30 and got out the door about ten of nine. drove to school to meet early for a discussion with one of the mt students, and then we had class. kids presented on mega-musicals and miss saigon, then valerie taught them 'one' from 'a chorus line'- sadly i found out that they (90% of them) have a senior dinner/dance thing the night of the showcase, so my 'springs awakening' plans are thwarted- but i'm gonna teach it anyway, for funsies as they say. then i chatted with some pals at school for a little and drove to the bux where i'm working on homework till dinner with jessica, then final run before the sitzprobe tomorrow night. then (god willing) i will get to see both LOST and my beautiful, beloved fiance at home after rehearsal. hopefully. and maybe sleep. i miss that. (i miss you sleep.)
song of the day:
"what i did for love" a chorus line (movie version)
*say what you will- some people love it, some people despise it. i love it. i love this movie. this time period in musical theater completely enveloped my childhood. my sister's godmother, theresa, has a daughter and son who are about 10 years older than i am, who both loved, lived and performed in musicals- so starting when i was 5 weeks old, i was raised on their musicals- these musicals. love love love love.
daily zen:
You have said it, but you have not understood.
(Jesus of Nazareth)
