stasis:
not much to say. i woke up like 10 of 9... oops. had to leave by 9, which i did. stopped at walgreens to buy butterfly band aids- a big chunk of my right thumb got cut out of my hand accidentally during sunday's show when i shot the bird on dolly's hat- which is the first moment of the play for me- so i had to spend the entire first act covered in dirt and bleeding... needless to say that the cut is now really unhappy and no band aids will stay on it- and its not safe yet to let it air.. i did last night and it was GROSS this morning. so... anyway. now its solved. hurts- but i won't die. anyway- then i drove to class, we talked about queer theory and did a little rehearsing of songs. then i chatted a bit with my beloved weeyum--- i just love the MA family. i really will miss everyone as soon as its over. anyway- then i drove home in the rain, listening to ATW's Downstage Center- a podcast series that I am OBSESSED with. today i listened to the end of Hal Prince & all of John Doyle (amazing podcast by the way. he's a really great innovator- NOT a one trick pony.). now i'm home and i'm ready to pass out. so i'm going to nap. do i have work to do? yeah. but too bad. i'd rather not get sick. i WILL make it to may. i WILL make it to may.
song of the day:
"neon" john mayer
(my friend steve gave me a hand recorded cassette tape in 1998 with live demo type recordings of two unknown dudes who were, "pretty good"- side A: john mayer, side B: howie day- yeah they're okay. in all seriousness tho- those demos were WAY better than the studio recordings... i miss that sound.)
daily zen:
"Nothing is more real than nothing."
Samuel Beckett
