stasis:
hey blog. okay. so.... it has been a while. but here we go. lets just start anew- today is saturday. i woke up far later than my alarm was set to go off and i don't remember hearing it go off at all. may its set for 8pm. i'll have to look. i made myself eggo waffles with syrup- a gift from mom yesterday for my poor tummy that still hasn't recovered really from my bug/flu on tuesday. now i'm out on the porch doing this blogging and maybe reading the new theatre journal that i got in the mail yesterday- but then the day is mine. FINALLY. and the last time for a little while again. (as with mothers day tomorrow, showcase monday- and studying for the comp, rosencrantz & guildenstern and pretty all start up (again) on tuesday) but today is all mine. sadly its supposed to rain some? i guess there are some dark clouds. so instead of hiking the arboretum, i think i'm probably going to hike around philly, take myself to see "babies" at 1:30 or 3:30, maybe do trader joe's later on... and then the last performance of the parallax Sondheim cabaret tonight. which has been really nice. a mad dash of notes and lyrics and staging - but thats how it goes. i had mentally forgotten that... having spent the last two years back in a classroom- but my body remembered. and i'm grateful for the muscle memory that takes you through things like that. i'm also grateful to be in something with rory. he's kind of a big deal. at least in my book anyway. and taht's that. its SO sunny on the porch, i think i'll leave it at that and enjoy the sun!!
song of the day:
"sunday" from steve's "sunday in the park with george"
daily zen:
Fallen leaves hide the mountain path.
No one around to ask directions.
An old monk sweeps the ground.
A novice rushes up to greet me.
